Here's a look at some of the amazing people who make up our Curl Salon team.
Justyne
Justyne has been in the salon industry since 2012. She attended the Deva Curl academy 2016 for additional curly cutting techniques. She’s worked closely with Lorraine Massey and was even a featured stylist on Lorraine’s The Silver Hair Handbook.
When she’s not caring for curls at the salon, you can find Justyne enjoying family time with her partner Louie and their beautiful daughter, Aspen, playing softball, and trying out new foods/restaurants.
Korryn
Korryn has worked with curly hair for over 4 years. She has a passion for all things in the beauty industry. She loves hair, makeup, nails and skin. If you're a first time client, she will show you the curly girl way with in depth teaching.
When Korryn isn't chasing her passion in the beauty industry she's exploring new places with her beautiful and smart daughter, Henley.
Faiza
Monika
Monika has been a hairstylist since 2018! She went to Aveda and did advanced education to obtain her Manager's License. She's trained with Naomi Dove, North American Artistic Director of TEXTURE.
When Monika isn't behind the chair you can find her playing with her precious daughter, Malia. They love going on walks, and libraries. She loves a good self-help book!
Maria
Maria loves to help others enhance their natural beauty! She loves building her relationships with her clients. She's proud that she gets to call doing what she loves everyday, work!
As an adopted daughter with texture, she always struggled to find a place or someone that could help her embrace her natural curls. She's so excited that she gets to be that person that she needed when she was younger!
Olivia
Olivia is currently attending Century College for a Cosmetology license. She's on track to graduate May 2023. While she's at The Curl Salon she will get in depth training on washing and styling through our Assistant Program.
Olivia is the youngest of 4 kids in her family. She loves to shop and find bargains in the clearance section. As a child she loved playing dress up and makeup, so it was no surprise that she pursued a career in the beauty industry. She's very excited to travel to Paris with her boyfriend Tobias at the end of this year.

When Alex isn't behind the chair you can find her gardening and going on adventures with her daughter!
Mari

Bella
Bella got her start as the girl who face painted, henna tattoos and SFX Halloween makeup. She was an art instructor at Artrageous Adventures, Kenwood before becoming personal makeup artist. Bella assisted makeup artists on MN produced films, was primary artist for the Twitter livestream that the Final Four and HD makeup artist for live TV shows at ShopHQ. She did the makeup of 2 winning Teen Miss USA state contestants. She loves doing bridal makeup!
Outside of the Salon, Bella admires the transformational magic of makeup, hair and costumes. She is a fan of local theater, multimedia art and video gaming. She is to graduate with a degree in Creative Writing and plans to pursue her formalized studies in Aesthetics. She enjoys making and editing videos. Wathc her Curl Salon Reels and TikToks!
Madison
Favorite Coffee: Iced Americano
Madison has been and Advanced Practitioner Esthetician since 2019. She graduated from PCI with honors and has been perfecting lashes for the last two years!
When she's not getting you glowing you can find her traveling, flipping old houses and caring for her 5 pets. She has a passion for vintage clothing and sports cars.

Choosing A Stylist
The Curl Salon believes in delivering only the highest quality of service while also creating space for learning and growth within the Twin Cities' professional curl styling community. That's why we provide different levels of stylist for some of our services.
Each stylist ranges in price and availability.
Stylist In Training
Stylists in Training are licensed with the State of Minnesota but are still working to complete our 8-week Curly Cut training program. Cuts from these stylists are designed to give experience to our trainees and are offered at a lower cost to you. Each cut will be supervised by a Senior Stylist.
Level 1 | Curl Specialist
At this level the stylist is a Cosmetology School Graduate with their State of MN License and has taken our 8 week Curl Salon Cirriculum. Although they may be in the beauty industry for while, they are new to curly hair. They are available to do basic cuts and color. All color consultations will be a collaboration with your stylist and an elder stylist to ensure appropriate color formulation and technique. Following your appointment the owner may send the client a brief survey pertaining to their experience. Honest feedback is essential for the stylist’s growth.
Level 2 | Curl Expert
A Curl Expert has acquired a great amount of experience with all aspects of hair and communication. They are problem solvers, well educated, educators, mentors and experienced enough to achieve more advanced color techniques, color corrections, cuts and styles. They also have an extensive clientele.
Level 3 | Curl Director
A Director stylist has the largest demand for their time behind the chair. They have an advanced level of education and are phenomenal communicators. At this point in their career they are booked for several weeks in advance. They are exceptional professionals who inspire and educate their teammates and clients.
